Equipped with an advanced electronic trigger system, activating the saw is a breeze with the press of an unlock button, ensuring effortless operation. Moreover, the top handle features an LED display that provides real-time information on the chainsaw's operational status and the position of the chain break. This intuitive design enhances user experience and ensures optimal performance.
The MSA 220 T is equipped with a user-friendly air filter that can be easily cleaned, ensuring a long service life and promoting optimal engine cooling. This saw delivers exceptional cutting performance, allowing you to tackle even the toughest tasks with ease. The side-mounted chain tensioning feature simplifies the process of adjusting the chain tension, while the tool-free oil tank cap enables effortless refilling of the oil reservoir. Additionally, the sprocket cover is designed with a captive nut, which means you won't have to worry about misplacing or losing it during maintenance.
The new side-lock system with enlarged interlock allows for greater comfort and improved handling when doing multiple cuts.
Working time with recommended AP 300 S battery is up to 29 minutes. Must be used with AP 300 S or AP 500 S battery for full performance.

Fold-out hook
The fold-out hook serves as a carrying rope attachment for lowering the arborist saw and for security. When it is pushed in, the hook doesn't get in the way of your work or when it's in storage.
Fleece filter
The fleece air filter guarantees constant performance - even under the highest loads. Its extremely fine-pored filter material keeps even very fine dust and dirt away from the power electronics and the electric motor. To clean, spray the dismantled fleece air filter with STIHL Varioclean, wash it off with warm water after a short exposure time and let it dry. It is ready for use again.
Side chain tensioner
The tensioning screw is located on the side of the chain saw through the sprocket cover. Chain side tensioning allows the saw chain to be retensioned effortlessly, avoiding any contact with the sharp chain.
Intuitive controls and a bright LED display
Features intuitive controls and a bright LED display. Three speed settings limit the chain speed to 20, 24 or 30 m/s, meaning the user can maximise battery life when completing less intensive tasks such as snedding or brashing. Status of the chain brake and temperature warnings are also displayed in red.
Captive nuts
When changing the cutting attachment, you will not risk losing the nuts on the sprocket.
Removable Battery Slot
The removable battery slot makes for easy cleaning and access to the fleece air filter.
